1st Symposium on Business Informatics in Central and Eastern Europe

Nowadays when Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play an important strategic role for business success, enterprises are challenged to efficiently leverage their most valuable and underleveraged resource: the intellectual capital of their highly educated, skilled and experienced employees. This challenges academia to provide students with excellent education comprised of interdisciplinary Business Informatics competences and up-todate research results. The CEE-symposium at the WI 2009 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners for discussing innovative aspects of Business Informatics in the CEE region. Particularly the symposium aims to cover topics in the fields of education, cooperation between academia and industry on ‘research’ level and impact on industrial projects.
